In this example, you want
WorldServer to check for new or changed assets every night at 1 A.M., to send you a notification via email, and to create a project for any new or changed assets in your top-level source folder (/Web/English).
To do so:
- Set up a workflow for which you want to create a rule.
- Create a recurrence named Daily-early-am that runs every day at 1 A.M.
- Create a new rule and define what you want to happen.
For example:
For all new or changed assets under
/Web/English, email the list of assets to
janedoe@company.com using subject
Changed assets and initiate project
New Material for locales
German and
French and workgroup
default and workflow
Web Updates. Execute this rule on schedule
Daily-early-am
. The name of this rule is
Detect changes and initiate project.
When it executes the rule,
WorldServer looks at the AIS path you specified and creates a project for each specified locale when it finds changed assets. These projects contain tasks for each changed asset.
Note: If you select the
Initiate Project action, you need to type a name for the new project. If the name you type consists only of text, every project that this rule creates will have the same name. However, if you want each project to have a unique name, you can add
${id} to the name of the project. For example, if you type
${id} New Material as the project name, each project that the rule creates will have a different name, such as 2112 New Material, 2113 New Material, 2114 New Material, and so on. In this case, the number in the name does not correspond to the project number assigned to that project. For example, the project named 2113 New Material might have a project number of 2591. As a result of this rule,
WorldServer also sends an email message with a list of the new and changed assets to the specified user (janedoe@company.com).
