Adding tasks to existing projects

Add new tasks to existing projects with the same target locale whenever you need. For example, a translator has already started working on a project, but you need to update one of the assets in the project. Instead of creating a new project, you can add the updated asset to the existing project as a new task. If the translator starts to work on the outdated task, WorldServer informs the translator that the source asset has been updated. Then, the translator can delete the outdated task and start working on the new task.

Procedure

  1. In WorldServer, go to Explorer.
  2. Select the tasks that you want to add.
  3. Select Project > Add to Project.
  4. In the Add To Project (Step 1 of 2) dialog box, for each available locale, select the project into which you want to add tasks.
  5. Next to Source Assets, choose whether you want to add all the selected assets to the project or only new or modified ones.
  6. Select Next.
  7. On the Add To Project (Step 2 of 2) page, select the workflow that you want to use for each task, and then select Add To Project.
