Transitions are connections between workflow steps. They control the overall progress of the workflow.
There is no limit to the number of transitions you can draw into or out of a human step. Automatic steps, on the other hand, have a predetermined number of transitions that can go out of them.
Use transitions to give users choices when human steps are completed. For example, if one user is reviewing a translation, you can give that user the option of returning the task to the translator for corrections, or approve the translation and move the workflow along.
When you draw a transition in the Workflow Editor, WorldServer checks rules and return values. Automatic steps, for example, have a set number of return values. You must draw one transition for each return value for the step.
