Specifying default workflows

A default workflow is a workflow that WorldServer Explorer uses by default to create projects, unless the project creator selects a different workflow. The default workflow only applies to WorldServer Explorer; for other project creation methods, WorldServer uses the workflow corresponding to the project type.

Before you begin

Before you can specify a default workflow, you need to set up the following:
  • Locales
  • AIS Mounts
  • Linkage
  • Users
  • Workflows

Procedure

  1. In WorldServer, go to Management > Business Rule Linkage > Default Workflow Table.
  2. Under the workflow table, select the check boxes corresponding to the target locales for which you want to specify default workflows, and then select Update Columns.
  3. In the Source Folders and Assets column, expand the nodes of the AIS mounts configured in the system and find the folders and assets for which you want to specify default workflows.
  4. In the Workflows for Target Locales column, select the appropriate workflow for each locale and folder (or asset).
Tip: The workflows you specify for parent folders also apply to all of their subordinate folders and assets.
